Well Cactus got the job done this morning. He was playing “moose calf in distress” and this beautiful female poked her nose out. I did not have pictures of this wolf.

That’s the thing about a March hunt. New wolves show up in March because they are wandering around looking for a date.

In 25 years this is only the 3rd black wolf to make an appearance. 1st black wolf a client has taken.

120 yards R***r American, 6 Creedmore. 108 gr Hornady VMax.

First female client. First February client. Took a BIG, old female on day 3 of her sit. 89 Lbs.

200 yards, 6.5 PRC Proof, 143 gr Hornady ELDx. Double lung. One shot.

Well…guys saw 7 wolves and took one. It was a challenging few days.

The boys are all bailing out 3 days early because of the dangerous temps here and bad weather predictions in their home states. So we left a little meat on the bone.

Still…was a good few days. I got to sit with my 75 year old client for two days. He made a prefect shot on an old female. It was pretty rough. I skinned it for a shoulder mount.

Packing up tomorrow. Wrench on some sleds then back at it February 8th.

If you were on the fence about a wolf hunt with us, I’d pull the trigger soon. I only have 4 hunts left for next season (2027). December 2026 and January 2027 are sold out. I have 1 hunt left for February 2027 and all 3 of March 2027 hunts are available.
