I want to hear from everyone!

What kind of obstacles have you had to work through with your horse?
🌀 Alley isses?
🧠 Nerves (you and your horse’s)?
🔥 Ulcers?
💨 What reasons did you suspect a bleeder before even going to the vet?
🤷‍♀️ Or just straight-up naughty behaviour that wasn’t physical or medical?

I’ve been in my head a lot lately, questioning everything. Sometimes the hardest part isn’t fixing the horse—it’s getting your own mindset right and just R-I-D-I-N-G.

So—how did you manage? What helped you turn things around (or at least keep going)? Share your story… because someone else probably needs to hear it too. 💬❤️

Honestly, I had zero motivation to ride tonight. Worked late (bleh), ate dinner and by then it was almost Grandma o’clock (almost 8 😎). I seriously considered the couch + tv over saddle time.

But I forced myself outside… and I’m so glad I did! My Rocket donkey was so chill. I kept waiting for her to morph into her usual dragon self, but nope, it was a great ride!

Here’s a picture of Elsa’s new marketplace bling. A little flashy for me, but at least we will look pretty going around those barrels.

Today’s plan was “slow is fast”. Elsa had other plans and did not approve of me being in her face. The result? One knocked barrel, (I have a severely bruised knee as exhibit #1), and two other bumped barrels. But at least I kept the trash cans near the alley standing!!!

Welcome, Fellow Average Barrel Racers! 🐎☕️

This page is for all of us “average” barrel racers—the ones powered by caffeine, duct tape, and a desperate hope of escaping the 3D (or at least staying upright at the third barrel).

We’re the riders juggling 9-to-5 jobs, feeding horses in our work clothes, and trying to find the energy to saddle up after a long day.

Here, I’ll be sharing the unfiltered, funny side of the grind—missed leads, mystery lameness, jackpot chaos, and maybe the occasional small victory. And I’d love for you to share your stories too.
