✨Introducing Jolenne Bradley - This her 3rd season doing Choreography for Le Pas de Danse dancers! Welcome Jolenne! ✨

Studio Director/Owner, Certified Dance Educator & ADAPT Examiner

Jolenne embarked on her dance journey at a young age, igniting a passion that would shape her career. By 16, she was determined to merge her love for dance with her entrepreneurial spirit, dedicating her studies to dance education and making a positive impact within the industry.

Jolenne studied Business and Fitness Management at Cambrian College before completing its Dance Arts Educators program. During her final year, she became a member of the Canadian Dance Teachers Association, specializing in Tap and Jazz, and completed her Cecchetti ballet training with Ms. Lesley Kallio.

Following teaching positions in Montreal and the GTA, Jolenne pursued her dream of business ownership, establishing Barrie Dance Conservatory Inc. in 2003.

Throughout her career, Jolenne has earned recognition as a business owner, entrepreneur, and mentor. Her choreography has received numerous awards for technical precision and artistic flair, while her students have secured scholarships, auditions, and professional opportunities.

In 2017, Jolenne graduated from the ADAPT Teacher Training program, receiving accolades for her essays and commitment to dance education. She holds her students to a high standard in movement and performance, with many achieving great success in their ADAPT examinations.

Now an ADAPT examiner, Jolenne enjoys supporting and witnessing the development of dancers and the exceptional standard of dance across the country. She is also an adjudicator and ADTA member, currently working toward her Intermediate Acro certification as part of her commitment to lifelong learning and excellence in dance education.

We live in a culture where correction often feels like attack. Where feedback bruises the ego instead of shaping the person.

But if we can't be corrected without being offended, we don't grow — we just protect our pride at the expense of our progress.

That's why this lesson matters so much for our children. And it starts with us.

When they watch us own our mistakes instead of deflecting... when they hear us say "you're right, I could have done better there" instead of scrambling for excuses... when they see us receive guidance without bristling, they learn that correction isn't humiliation — it's refinement.

But discernment matters too.

Not every opinion carries wisdom. Not every piece of advice deserves action. Growth doesn't mean obeying every voice; it means learning to listen, to weigh, to consider — and then choosing wisely what to carry forward.

Correction given with care is not a threat — it's a gift. And advice, even when it doesn't fit, can sharpen our perspective if we're willing to hear it without offence.

That's the skill worth passing on. Because children who grow up seeing feedback as opportunity — not condemnation — will always have the freedom to keep evolving into more of who they're meant to be. ❤️

Our parade of 2026/27 Le Pas de Danse Performance Team Choreographers continues today with Miss Jenna✨

Miss Jenna has been teaching dance and choreographing for over 15 years. While she has trained and worked in many different styles throughout those years, her heart has always been aligned the most genuinely with Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz, and Musical Theatre.

Miss Jenna is incredibly passionate about storytelling through movement. For her,
choreography isn’t just about the steps—it’s about creating a feeling. She loves building worlds, exploring emotion, and using breath, movement quality, and authentic connection to tell stories that resonate with both the dancers performing them and the audience watching.
Much of her work is inspired by her own life experiences, as she believes the most meaningful art comes from a place of honesty. Miss Jenna has been very fortunate to receive numerous choreography awards for her work, but what she values most is creating pieces that allow dancers to connect deeply with themselves, each other, and the story they’re bringing to life.

Welcome Miss Jenna! Jenna Ashby

Did you know that at Le Pas de Danse Studio we teach through the ADTA (Acro Dance Teachers Association) Syllabus?

Every dancer 8yrs + works with a personalized Progress Chart, where they can clearly see the skills they’re currently working on and celebrate the ones they’ve mastered. It’s more than just learning tricks—it’s about building strong technical foundations, developing confidence, and progressing safely at a pace that’s right for each dancer.

The ADTA system helps our students:
⭐ Learn with proper progressions
⭐ Build strength, flexibility, and body awareness
⭐ Develop safe technique that lasts
⭐ Set goals and celebrate every milestone along the way

The dancers here are proudly showing off their Progress Charts—proof that every step forward is worth celebrating! 💙

We can’t wait to dance with you this week!
