Sometimes we come across people in life where we may not always share the same views and perspectives, but to be open to listen and learn takes a different level of maturity. Throughout the years that I have had the honour to truly understand and know Baljeet Kundu, I have learnt his passion and love of the game is next level.

This man has always volunteered to share the passion of the sport with the Youth to adults. Encouraging and leading his teammates to grow and appreciate the sport even through adversity. Should there be any project or insight required for the Cricket Association he is one of our go to athletes.

When I asked team captains and athletes, Baljeets name always came up when we were deciding the recipient for the "Spirt of Cricket - Athlete of the Year" Many can earn awards but to earn the respect of your teammates, giving back and sharing the love of Cricket is such an honour.

At Northwest BC Cricket Assn we are truly blessed to have you as a part of the Association. Always many Blessings!

Well what a season for the books!

We hosted 2 Finals this past weekend, our Premier League & local Victory Cup! The weather cooperated with us and made for a beautiful backdrop, we are truly blessed and appreciative to Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine for the use of the ground.

Awards & Trophies were sponsored in the honor of my Bibiji Harjinder Kaur Dhaliwal's 100th birth year. She was a avid sports lover and stressed the importance of teamwork and healthy living.

Highlights of Premier League:

GOLD winners - Rupert Raptors- Prince Rupert Cricket Club
(please note this club does not have any training facilities in their community and travelled to Thornhill Cricket Ground every Sunday to play 2 matches in a day. That equates to appr. 8 hours of game play, that's true DEIDICATION to the sport)

SILVER Runners up - Terrace Cricket Club Terrace Cougars

Individual achievements:

Best Batter - Satnam Singh Kang with 339 runs in 6 matches, runner up Kartik Joshi with 261 runs

2026 NWBC Boundary Bash hit the headlines!

I would like to thanks all the athletes that participated and came from out of town, your presence is truly remarkable!

Without our NWBC Athletes coming together to coordinate this tournament with us and taking on responsibilities, this would not be possible!

There is a quote by Henry Ford, “Coming Together is the beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is SUCCESS! “
