We've finally finished our Race To Alaska video. It's honest and raw and we are pretty nervous to post it!
We are so grateful to everyone for supporting us and our sponsors for helping us get as far as we did. Thank you so much!

A huge thank you to our sponsors for helping us make it as far as we did. We are forever grateful for your support! Perhaps the Race to Alaska won this time ...

We’ve now been home for a couple of nights and our adventure already seems like a blur of cracked lips, wind on the nose, tired bodies, calloused hands, little sleep, and luffing sails. I’ve just started putting together the footage and will be releasing a YouTube video in a couple of days!

We’ve been home in our own beds for night and reflecting on the amazing people and companies that have supported us this past couple of weeks. We are feeling the love! We’d like to give a special thanks to for helping power Orca. This easily adjustable, rigid and lightweight panel was a game changer to be able to make the most of our power needs and focus more on sailing and less on consumption. Thank uou !

Team ORCA is choosing to finish our race here in Port McNeil. This decision was not made lightly and although we are super disappointed to not have pushed all the way to the finish line in Ketchikan, we are so incredibly proud of ourselves for the miles we have traveled, human and sail powered, so far. We are beyond grateful for the support and belief in us, but feel like stopping now is the best decision for our team. We are so honored to be a part of the and are cheering on every team still making their way north!
Thank you to our main sponsors and Mcubbin McGarvey Law for the support and to all those who have helped in one way or another to get us this far.

Day three update from Team ORCA. Well, it’s quite clear that we are not much in the way of racers, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t proud of our individual progress. Yesterday gave us a handful of wind which we tried our best to take advantage of. Wing on wing in the morning and soon just the jib flying down the swell. We finally made it to Hornby Island after a quick stop for a burger, which gave us some strong qualicum winds we used to battle our way north. The rest was much needed and now we are slowly (emphasis on this), tacking our way north again. We don’t know what the rest of today will bring as far as wind, so we are doing our best to take shifts and rest. Onwards we go (again, slowly). We so appreciate your support so far!

A couple new blisters and callouses have shown up to party, but so did the beer when we had our first visitors today!
