🥎🙏R.I.P. #16 Wayne Harris🙏🥎

Today, we take a moment to remember one of the greats in Windsor-Essex slow pitch history.

Not just great on the diamond, but a great human being also…gone far too young.

My first memories of Wayne were back in the mid-to-late 90’s, when I was a young guy in the sport…playing against him and watching him launch 400 foot homers with ease, sending balls flying over the playgrounds at the local city parks we used to play at. He was a legend. Getting to know him later, he matched that legendary on-field ability with a legendary personality.

Wayne was one-of-a-kind and made friends easily in all areas of the softball community locally and beyond. He will be missed by many, and will not be forgotten.

Rest peacefully, Wayne.
