Trials to Alberta Winter Games were held December 13–14 at Pine Valley Gym Centre in Tawatinaw. A total of 169 Junior Olympic (JO) Level 6–7 Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) athletes, aged 11–16, competed for a coveted spot at the Games, taking place February 13–16, 2026, in the Lakeland Region.

We extend our sincere thanks to Alberta Gymnastics Federation (AGF) for selecting our facility as the host venue, and to Carolyn Foster of AGF for her exceptional coordination and support. Thank you as well to the judges, coaches, gymnasts, and families whose dedication made this event possible.

Special appreciation goes to Dawn Vande Vyvere, AGF Chair of the Board, along with Deputy Reeve Isaac Skuban, Councillor Sheri Provencal, and Councillor Francis Cloutier from Westlock County, and Mayor John Kramer and Councillor Laurie Hodge from the Town of Westlock, for joining us and presenting awards to the athletes throughout the two-day event. We also thank Westlock County and the Town of Westlock for providing souvenirs for the athletes.

A heartfelt thank-you to our volunteers and staff—your hard work and dedication were essential to the success of this event! 💙🤸‍♀️

🙌 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – Ages 12+!

We’re excited to host the Trials to the Alberta Winter Games at Pine Valley Gym Centre — and we need enthusiastic volunteers to help assist judges throughout the event. No experience required!

📅 December 13–14, 2025
Choose from 5 volunteer sessions:

Saturday, Dec 13
• Session 1: 8:00 am – 11:00 am
• Session 2: 11:30 am – 2:30 pm
• Session 3: 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
• Session 4: 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Sunday, Dec 14
• Session 5: 8:00 am – 11:00 am
