The Township is aware of power outages affecting residents due to the recent storms. The Stone Mills Recreation Centre located at 713 Addington Street, Tamworth will be open today from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for residents who are without power.

Residents are welcome to:

• Fill water jugs
• Use available showers
• Charge phones and other devices
• Access public WiFi

Please help spread the word to anyone in the community who may be affected by the outage.

Be sure to mark your calendars for this first time car show event in our own backyard. Enjoy custom and antique cars as well as a BBQ hosted by Yarker Firefighters Association. There will be a canteen and a 50/50 draw as well.

Join us at the Yarker Ball Field on Saturday, May 30th from 10 am - 2pm. Proceeds to benefit the local softball league.

2026 Pickleball season is underway but there is still time to join!

The 2026 season runs from April 7th to September 5th on the following dates:

📆When: Monday, Wednesday & Saturday: 10:00am – 12:00 pm
Tuesday & Thursday evenings: 7:00pm – 9:00pm
📍Location: Stone Mills Recreation Centre - 713 Addington Street
💲Cost: $5.00 per play or $125.00 for the season

I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported us—whether you shared our Facebook posts or spread the word in person. The response has been incredible, and we’ve had an overwhelming (in the best way possible) number of people reaching out and showing interest.

A special thank you goes out to everyone who helped with building the gym—your time and effort truly made this possible. We’re also extremely grateful to Cloverdale Judo Club for their generous donation of mats.

Big thanks as well to YGK in Kingston for providing solid advice and guidance along the way, and to Mark Loft from Diamond Martial Arts for everything he’s done to support and grow the local scene.

We’re also really excited to welcome some of the instructors from Limitless Belleville for future guest appearances.

We couldn’t have done this without all of you—thank you for being part of this journey.
