Congratulations to Brad Macdonald who harvested this huge drop tine buck over 15 years ago!
The antlers were cut off at the time and it was a simple antler mount until he decided to make it into a shoulder mount like he always wanted. With the use of a donor cape I was able to make it into a nice shoulder mount for him.

I’m often asked if I can remount an old deer head or make a european or antler mount into a shoulder mount and the answer is yes.
Here are some of last years mounts using replacement or “donor” capes from a different deer of similar size to the original buck .
Some of these deer had spoiled capes, capes that were cut off too short or had been an antler mount originally.
If you have an old shoulder mount or an antler mount that you would like remounted, put the word out now to your friends that hunt and have them “save” a cape for you that might otherwise be discarded.
