🎉 Congratulations, Forrester Dancers! 🎉
We are incredibly proud of all of our dancers who recently completed their Highland Dance Examinations with the Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance (SDTA) of Scotland, under the guidance of examiner Janice MacQuarrie.
The results were outstanding, with dancers achieving fantastic success in their Highland, Scottish National, Jig, Hornpipe, and Theory examinations. Their dedication, preparation, and commitment to excellence were evident throughout the examination process, and their achievements are something to be celebrated.
The SDTA examination program is about much more than learning steps. It provides a true measure of a Highland dancer’s growth and development, requiring dancers to not only perform their dances with strong technique and presentation but also demonstrate a thorough understanding of the theory behind Highland dancing. Dancers are challenged to explain terminology, technique, and traditions directly to the examiner, showcasing both their practical and academic knowledge of the art form.
These examinations reflect months—and often years—of hard work, discipline, and perseverance. We couldn’t be prouder of each dancer for embracing the challenge and representing Forrester School of Dance with such professionalism and pride.
