Yesterday we assisted Forest, fish and wildlife and Abegweit Biodiversity Enhancement Hatchery with a fish release.

In various areas within our watershed we released approximately 15,000 fingerling brook trout.

It is always such a pleasure to work with these groups in supporting our fish populations in our watershed.

Trout River trail freshly groomed after the snow. The first 1.5 km is groomed for people wanting a less strenuous walk with the last 2 km not groomed for those wanting more of a work out.

A local watershed group says it was shocked to see so much garbage in a local stream recently, and is speaking out in the hope that more people will think about the environment and disposing of garbage properly.
