A lot can happen in a year - a lot of disappointments, struggles, wrestling with my faith, financial challenges, injuries, and health concerns. But I show up everyday. Not because I am motivated. Not because I have time. But because of discipline, and I make time. I have achieved my certifications. I wrote a book. I created a mental health mentorship program. Was worried about my macros today since I slept in and skipped the gym. Today was also my refeed day so I had McDonald's for supper. To maintain my Spartan-ready weight, I have been maintaining 1820 - 2000 calories per day. And today my total was 2558 and was over 738 calories. But my expenditure (based on my BMR and baseline as per my usual daily activity with gym and pickleball) was 3654 calories. This means I still burned 1087 calories even skipping gym today.
