More than a decade ago, we made friendships and planted the roots of Yamaji Dojo in Berlin. Next week, I’ll have the honor of heading to Berlin to teach a two-day Jujutsu seminar and testing elegable students for their black belts.

There’s something special about watching what we started all those years ago continue to grow—and seeing students reach this level in their journey.

Looking forward to being on the mats with our Yamaji family in Germany.

Friends. Students. Our Yamaji family.

Angela and I honestly can’t thank you enough for showing up, rolling up your sleeves, tearing down the Sussex Dojo, packing it up and getting everything moved out.

There is no way we could have done this without you.

Tonight wasn’t just about moving a dojo. It was a pretty damn good reminder that Yamaji has never been about the building — it’s about the people.

Absolutely humbled. Absolutely grateful.

🥋 JUJUTSU IS GROWING IN SUSSEX!

With our move into our new home at the former Sussex Bowling Lanes, we're excited about what comes next — more space, more opportunities and a growing Sussex team.

Our Jujutsu program offers training for kids, teens and adults, developing practical self-defence, confidence, discipline, focus and skills that carry far beyond the mats.

We're continuing to grow our team of instructors in Sussex and build a strong martial arts program for the community.

Whether you're brand new to martial arts or looking for a place to continue your training, registration is now open!

I’m looking forward to being part of Capital Conquest 2026 this November, where I’ll be teaching a seminar in Daitō-ryū Aikijūjutsu.

It’s a pretty incredible opportunity to be teaching at the same event as my kickboxing mentor, coach and friend, 23-time World Kickboxing Champion Jean-Yves Thériault, UFC Champion Georges St-Pierre, and Soke John Therien, the martial arts icon who made this event possible.

I’ve spent a lifetime on the mats, and I’m proud to have the opportunity to represent Yamaji Dojo and share some traditional Daitō-ryū that I’ve dedicated so many years to studying and teaching.

November 6–8, 2026
