🎈⚾ What a game! What a community! ⚾🎈

Another successful Pilot & Crew vs. Ball Team game is officially in the books, and we couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who helped make it happen!

Together, we raised an incredible $1,305 for a local family in our community. ❤️

A huge thank you to:
🎈 All of the pilots and crew who stepped onto the field and those who cheered us on!
⚾ John Walsh and his ball team for joining in on the fun
💛 Everyone who donated, or came out to cheer us on
🙌 All of the volunteers who helped behind the scenes
📣 And everyone who shared the event and helped spread the word

This game is about so much more than softball. It’s about bringing our community together, supporting one another, and giving back to people who have given so much to others.

We’re incredibly proud of what we were able to accomplish together. $1,305 raised, countless laughs, and one amazing community. 🎈❤️

Thank you, everyone, for helping us make another year of From Burners to Batter’s Box one to remember!

Weather they’re arriving before sunrise, chasing down landing sites, or jumping in to help another team, David and his crew are always willing to lend a hand. They’re the kind of people who make ballooning more than a hobby—they make it a community.

Now they’re stepping away from the launch field and joining the rest of the Balloonatics for a different kind of challenge… the softball diamond!

Will their teamwork earn them a win, or will they discover balloons are easier to catch than softballs? You’ll have to come find out! 😄

Behind every successful flight is a crew that works hard, laughs often, and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty. From early morning setups and chasing across the countryside this crew does it all and they do it with a smile.

Together, they’ve shared countless adventures, created unforgettable memories, and proven that ballooning is all about teamwork.

Every pilot remembers their first flight, and Randy is just beginning an exciting new chapter as Sussex’s newest hot air balloon pilot! 🎉

Behind every new pilot is a crew that believes in them, encourages them, and is there every step of the way. The Finally Soarin crew has been right beside Randy through the learning process, celebrating every milestone and making sure every flight is a success.

Now they’re bringing that same team spirit to the softball field as part of the Balloonatics! Whether they’re cheering from the dugout or making memories with the community, you can count on this crew to show up with smiles, laughter, and plenty of enthusiasm.

Delia proves that sometimes all it takes is one balloon ride to change your life. After experiencing the magic of ballooning for the first time, she knew she wanted to become a pilot—and she made that dream a reality.

🎈 Fun Fact: Delia is the youngest female hot air balloon pilot in Canada and the youngest balloon pilot in Sussex!

Behind every successful pilot is an incredible crew, and Delia’s team is always there to have her back. Whether it’s setting up before sunrise, chasing across the countryside, or celebrating another successful flight, they work together every step of the way.

Now they’re ready to trade the skies for the softball diamond as they join the Balloonatics for a day of fun, laughter, and giving back to our community.

Next up is the husband-and-wife duo, Brad and Sam Morrell!

Talk about a match made in the skies! While Brad is a balloon pilot, Sam is well on her way to earning her wings as a pilot in training. Together, they’re proving that ballooning really is a family adventure.

Of course, no balloon soars the sky without an incredible crew. From early morning setups and chasing to packing up after every flight, Brad and Sam know they couldn’t do what they love without the unwavering support of their amazing crew. Every successful flight is a true team effort.

Now they’re trading burners for ball gloves as they join the Balloonatics for a great cause. We can promise they’ll bring plenty of teamwork, smiles, and fun to the field!

Originally from Sussex, Seth moved to Nova Scotia, but we’re thrilled to have him back home, sharing the skies over Sussex once again.

Of course, no pilot gets far without a great crew, and Seth’s crew is always ready to jump in wherever they’re needed. From helping with launches and pack-ups to keeping things running smoothly on the ground, they’re an essential part of every successful flight.

Now they’re trading the launch field for the ball field as they join the Balloonatics for a day of fun, laughter, and friendly competition.

Next up, we’ve got Greg and his crew!

If you don’t know Greg yet… chances are you will by the end of the day. He has a way of making friends with just about everyone he meets!

His crew is known for keeping the laughs going, the spirits high, and somehow turning every balloon event into a highlight reel. If there’s a camera around, you can bet they’re creating another video that’ll have everyone smiling.

While the rest of the team is focused on winning the game, Greg and his crew will probably be focused on making memories (and maybe photobombing a few team pictures along the way). 😄

One thing’s for sure—you can always count on this crew to bring the fun wherever they go.

Next up on our Balloonatics roster is Marilyn Mercer and her amazing crew!

Whether it’s an early morning launch, a smooth landing, or now a swing for the fences, Marilyn and her crew are always up for an adventure!

🎈 Fun Fact: Marilyn made history as Sussex’s first female hot air balloon pilot!

Now they’re trading her balloon basket for the batter’s box as the Balloonatics take on a local ball team.

Be sure to come out, cheer loud, and see if Marilyn’s precision in the sky translates to precision at the plate! 🥎🎈
