The Caspian Horse is one of the oldest and rarest horse breeds in the world. Originating in northern Iran near the Caspian Sea, this elegant little horse has ancient Persian roots dating back thousands of years.

Today, the breed remains critically rare, with only a small number of foals born worldwide each year. Conservation breeders and breed societies continue to work hard to preserve this ancient little horse, which is considered an important link to the development of many modern oriental breeds, including the Arabian.
