I was excited to announce a $50,000 Government of Canada investment through Sport Canada’s International Single Sport Event Program in support of the 2026 Canada Cup International Softball Championships this Saturday!

This investment helps strengthen Canada’s sport hosting capacity while supporting organizations that bring communities together through sport. Events like the Canada Cup create opportunities for athletes to compete at the highest level, inspire the next generation, and welcome visitors from around the world.

Congratulations to Greg Timm, the organizing committee, Softball Canada, and the many volunteers who continue to make this world-class event possible right here in South Surrey.
