Occasionally a client will come to me, disheartened, confiding that they've regressed in some way, whether it be fluctuations in weight, an injury acting up, or feeling generally weaker.
And to that I always say, 🗣️ PROGRESS ISN'T LINEAR 🗣️ Some days will be like that--even for seasoned athletes and gym-goers--it's like that. It's unrealistic and emotionally distressing to expect yourself to reach new highs every single day. That's simply not the way life and bodies work. And that okay. Look at your overall trajectory instead--if your overall trajectory is positive, then you're golden 🏆
What's more important is consistently working towards your goals, even with all the ebbs and flows of life. And giving yourself grace when you're having an off day. Rest and recover, so you can return to put the work in 💪🫶
