🚨 SPARTANS SUNDAY SIGNING ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

The Almaguin Spartans are excited to announce that 2008-born defenceman Broden Howells will be joining the Spartans for the upcoming season!

Broden, a South River resident, comes to Almaguin after playing with the Huntsville Otters and is ready to take the next step in his hockey career.

We’re excited to have him in the organization and look forward to watching him develop and make an impact on the ice this season.

Broden had this to say:
“I’m really excited to join the Spartans for the upcoming season. I’m looking forward to meeting my new teammates, working hard every shift, and absorbing as much information I can at the junior hockey level.”

The Almaguin Spartans are excited to announce the signing of towering 6’6 defenceman Oleg Papshev!

Oleg brings an aggressive and physical style to the blue line, along with the ability to contribute on the scoresheet. His well balanced game will make him a key factor for the Spartans this season.

Spartans Add Another Local Product! 🏒

The Almaguin Spartans are excited to announce another local addition to the lineup — Chris Leggett!

Chris brings a high hockey IQ, a strong understanding of the game, and the drive to continue developing at the junior level. We believe he’ll be a terrific addition to our team, not only for this season but for years to come.

We’re excited to have Chris join the Spartans family and look forward to watching him grow into an elite forward in junior hockey.

SPARTANS ACQUIRE GOALTENDER SHANE BRANNICK

The Almaguin Spartans are excited to announce that we have acquired goaltender Shane Brannick in a trade with the Meaford Knights!

Entering his final season of junior hockey, Shane brings valuable experience to the crease.

His no-quit attitude, competitive drive, and willingness to battle on every puck will be vital for the Spartans this season.

Shane had this to say about joining the Spartans organization:

“I really appreciate the efforts the Spartans made to bring me to Almaguin. I’m excited to arrive in September and get started with the team. I’ve been working hard all off-season and I’m ready to show what I can do and give everything I have for the Spartans and their fans.”

Artemi brings valuable experience after spending part of last season playing in Russia’s MHL, one of the country’s top junior leagues.

He’s arriving in Almaguin with one goal in mind — dominate the crease and become one of the key backstops for the Spartans this upcoming season.
