First and foremost, we want to sincerely thank Bruce, Dori, Tomas, and Luisa for their kind words and for the care, dedication, and pride they’ve poured into Crestwood over the past 24 years. We’re also grateful to the entire Crestwood community for the support you’ve shown them, and for the warm welcome you’ve already extended to us.

Bruce’s passion and commitment have shaped Crestwood into the special place it is today, a true gem, and we are honoured to carry that forward.

For those who may not know us, we’re Matt and Ashley Fair, and we’re proud to be the new owners of Crestwood Golf Club. This course holds a truly special place in our hearts. It’s where Matt learned the game alongside his father, where Ashley swung her very first club and where our young children will learn the game. Crestwood isn’t just a course to us, it’s part of our story.

Just as importantly, we’re excited to continue this journey alongside the incredible team that makes Crestwood what it is day in and day out. Their dedication, pride, and love for the course are at the heart of everything here, and we’re looking forward to building on that together.

With a deep appreciation for its history and the community it serves, the plan is simple: to continue being active stewards of the property and preserve everything that makes Crestwood so special… with a few exciting touches along the way. 😉

Since 1969, Crestwood has been a true treasure supporting golfers across the Region of Durham and Kawartha Lakes and that legacy will continue.

Thank you again to the Grant family, and to this amazing community. We’re excited for what’s ahead

For over 24 years, Bruce, Dori, Tomas and Luisa have had the privilege to call Crestwood Golf Club home. It has been a place to learn, grow and create lasting family memories. After years of dedication, the Grants have decided to pass on the responsibility to a local member of the community. Matt Fair, a long time member of Crestwood, his wife Ashley and their family will now be greeting you at the Club House.

As a family, we are proud to have built a local space where beginner golfers could feel comfortable to develop a new passion, families could bring their children to learn a new sport, and experienced golfers could be humbled by our beautiful and challenging course.

At this time, we would like to thank all the Crestwood staff, present and past for working with us for so many years. A special thank you to Gord Po***ck who has been at Crestwood for over 15 years. He lead in keeping the course in as best shape as the weather would allow and worked tirelessly maintaining all the equipment in running order. Without his encouragement and persistence, our inventory of Power Carts would not have grown from 6 to the present count of 30.

We would also like to thank all the members who supported us throughout the years and spread the word to the public that our course was an excellent place to golf. In addition, we appreciate the many leagues and charity organizations from the community that called Crestwood their home course and allowed us on a weekly basis to provide them the space to play golf. Without the support of our community, events like our steak night socials would never have been so successful.

While saying goodbye has been one of the hardest decisions we have had to make as a family, we move forward with immense pride in how far Crestwood has come. We now turn over the course to another dedicated family that will maintain the values and spirit of Crestwood Golf Course.

We look forward to seeing everyone at Crestwood with clubs in hand and ready to enjoy a round.

Found an old photo album today.

Ok I confess. These are from like 2001 but here's what it was like.

- The first tee box wasn't raised
- The third hole had a bunker
- Second tee was behind the first green
- 8th tee didn't exist
- WE ONLY HAD 4 carts
- Scott was Junior Club Champion
- You could carry your drive over the tree on 9

It’s been an epic season for Junior golf at Crestwood. Our junior memberships exploded this year and we are so proud of everyone who participated in our Junior Club Championship.

Thank you to all the parents for the countless pick ups and drop offs. As well as to all the juniors for showing exemplary etiquette, encouragement and pace of play.

It was an absolute pleasure to host the Chicks with Sticks Tour & the club ladies for a round of golf + lunch.

Grateful for the fantastic spring weather and to see so many folks out growing the game.
