Northern Taekwon-Do Academy

Northern Taekwon-Do Academy A Sun Peaks martial arts school teaching the original (ITF) style of Taekwon-Do. He is also a certified International Instructor and World Class Umpire.

Welcome to Northern Taekwon-Do Academy, an accredited ITF Taekwon-Do school, established in Sun Peaks 2012. The school operates out of the Annex September through June on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The instructor, Ryan Oevermann, is a Vth degree black belt, provincial and national medal holder in both pattern and sparring and has been teaching the martial art for over 30 years. The Taekwon-Do classes

are for grade one to adult and have a balance of pattern, sparring, self-defense, physical fitness, discipline, respect and fun. Students progress at their own level and can begin at anytime. In 2019, Mr. Oevermann was diagnosed with Early Onset Parkinson's, however he remains dedicated to persevering and raising black belts to an elite level of Taekwon-Do and is currently training for his VIth degree.

We are pleased to invite all Black Belts to attend the upcoming Provincial Technical Seminar, following the BC Cup, hosted by Family Taekwon-Do.

This seminar will be led by the ITF of BC Technical Committee:
