Sun Peaks Alpine Club is excited to welcome Dustin Koepke as our new Program Director. Dustin joins Sun Peaks after leading the Okanagan Zone Ski Team, following three years with the BC Ski Team. A longtime member of the BC Alpine community, he grew up racing and began his coaching career at Big White before going on to work with U16 and FIS programs across the province for more than a decade.

Throughout his time with the BC Ski Team and OZST, Dustin has worked with athletes from the provincial pathway through to the international stage, including coaching athletes at the World Junior Ski Championships and helping athletes progress to our national team. His career has also allowed him to build strong relationships with coaches and programs throughout Canada and across the globe. Most recently, Dustin led the Okanagan Zone Ski Team, building a program that supports both performance and long-term development in the sport. OZST has successfully moved athletes into the BC Ski Team pathway while also providing a strong competitive environment for athletes choosing to prioritize academics or pursue university alongside ski racing.

Dustin is passionate about building strong athlete pathways and creating an environment where coaches can continue to grow. He looks forward to working collaboratively with S**C’s membership, staff, and Sun Peaks Resort to build on the club’s strong community, relationship with Sun Peaks Resort, and continue developing exceptional training and race environments. His experience, leadership, and relationships throughout the ski community will also be an asset in continuing the success of Sun Peaks as a premier training destination.

Outside of coaching, Dustin and his wife, Kristen, have two young boys, Cooper and Ernie. The whole family is looking forward to spending more time on the mountain this winter and becoming part of the S**C community.

⛳ What a Fantastic Day on the Fairways! ☀️
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for the Sun Peaks Alpine Club Golf Tournament! We couldn't have asked for a better day, with beautiful sunshine, great company, and an incredible atmosphere from start to finish.
Thank you to all of our participants for coming out, supporting the club, and making the tournament such a fun and successful event. A special thank you goes to our amazing sponsors, whose generosity made the day possible, and to our dedicated volunteers who worked behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly.
From exciting contests to an amazing prize table, there were plenty of opportunities to celebrate throughout the day. Congratulations to all of our prize and tournament winners! We hope everyone enjoyed the friendly competition and took home some wonderful memories.

Early registration for NGSL programs (U6-U12) opens July 15 and general registration opens August 1 at 8 a.m. See the email Gabrielle sent earlier this week for details on how to request early registration.

Community, stewardship, and celebrating our athletes—what a great way to finish the season!
We gathered today to hike OSV collecting garbage left behind after the winter season. It's always rewarding to give back to the ski runs that provide us with so much enjoyment throughout the year. After a successful cleanup, everyone headed to the club cabin to enjoy a delicious lunch spread and some well-earned social time together. We wrapped up the day by celebrating our athletes and recognizing their hard work and achievements at our ski awards presentation.⛷️

CLUB CLEAN UP DAY

Saturday, June 13
Meet at 10:00 AM

Clean Up: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
We’ll be walking down OSV picking up broken gates and cleaning up equipment from the season.

Please Bring:

• Comfortable hiking shoes
• Water bottle
• Gloves (recommended)
• Dress for the weather (and bugs?)

Lunch + Year End Awards to follow

Expected wrap up around 2:00 PM ish.
