Skate Morinville Skate Morinville Club allows participation in skating for fun, fitness and achievement. PreCanSkate Program is for our beginner "walker" skaters.

Skate Morinville Club is a proud Skate Canada–sanctioned club offering quality skating lessons for all ages and skill levels at the MLC in Sturgeon County, Alberta. Our skating programs are run by NCCP Certified Professional Skate Canada coaches. It focuses on fun and learning 8 basic skills. It is our feeder program into the “CanSkate Program”. CanSkate is a learn to skate program for everyone. I

t is for first time skaters to more advanced skaters who will improve their skating technique. Our programs will be fun while enhancing continuous movement on the ice. The CanSkate program is beneficial for all types of skaters.The program has 18 ribbons and 6 badges to attain. Skaters learn skills in Agility, Balance,Control and a Fast Track Zone. Our Star-Prep Academy program is for skaters who want to learn figure skating. It focuses on the fundamentals of skating skills, freeskate, ice dance and artistic skating. Star Prep Academy preps skaters for our StarSkate program. Our StarSkate program is where skaters have private or semi-private lessons with our coaches and work towards Skate Canada tests and competitions in the area.

Perfect for skaters who are brand new to the ice or still need help getting comfortable. Skaters learn 8 basic skating skills while building confidence, balance, and independence on the ice. It’s the perfect stepping stone into CanSkate!

⛸️ CanSkate — Ready to skate independently!
CanSkate is our Learn to Skate program for skaters who can already stand up and move independently on the ice. Skaters build their fundamental skating skills for hockey, ringette, speed skating, figure skating—or simply skating for fun!

CANSKATE is an amazing program which builds your skaters confidence and skating skills for them to progress further into Figure Skating, Hockey or Ringette.
10 week sessions: Cost is $195.00 plus Skate Canada yearly Insurance and Safe Sport Yearly Fee.
Tuesdays Fall Skating lessons start Tuesday , September 29 - December 8 ,2026 or Winter Tuesdays January 5,2027 to March 9, 2027.
Thursdays Fall Skating lessons start Thursday October 1, to December 10,2026 or Winter Thursday January 7, 2027 to March 11,2027.
