The third space is a yoga studio located on land that is shared between the Attawandaron, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples, colonially known as Stratford, Ontario.

We are looking for local artists!

Do you make art? Are you wanting a space to showcase that art? This could be photography, paintings, prints or any art you can hang on a wall!

The third space wants to create a space that celebrates the local community. One way we like to do this is by bringing in different local artists and displaying their art on the walls here at the third space.

Maybe you have an artist in your life that you could share this with!

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️Happy Pride!! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

At the third space we celebrate and honour the 2SLGBTQIA+ Community all year round. Friday nights 7-8 I host a a pay what you can practice specifically for members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. This weekly practice is always offered in person and via zoom for folks who want to join in this practice from the comfort of their home or wherever you are!

As a q***r person I have found it hard to find movement and yoga spaces that understand, accept and celebrate me and my q***r identities. This was a big reason and inspiration for wanting to open my own space. My hope has always been that folks with different identities and experiences could come to the third space and practice yoga in a space where they feel like they are seen, heard, accepted and celebrated. I also knew I had to offer a practice that was made specifically by and for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

It has been such a pleasure to get to share in these practices with the community. In this practice we talk about q***r joy and how it lives along side q***r rage. We talk about how yoga encourages us to lead with compassion and to live in our truth and how this world may try and put obstacles in the way of q***r liberation but we have and will continue to resist and fight for 2SLGBTQIA+ rights because they are human rights.

If you are part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community this is for you! I hope you all have had an amazing pride month and continue to feel the love all year round!

This month, as we celebrate the third space being open a year!! I wanted to offer a little birthday deal. From now until the end of May you can pay $90 for an unlimited month of practices!!! This offer is available to anyone whether it’s your first time or you have already been to a practice here!

We are turning 1!! May 15th is the one year anniversary of the third space! To celebrate we are hosting a little open house/anniversary celebration! Come by the studio 4:30-6:30 pm to check out the space, say hi and enjoy a non-alcoholic beverage.

I am so excited to celebrate this year of being open and I am grateful to all who have supported me on this journey! Opening an inclusive and accessible yoga studio had been a dream of mine and I can hardly believe I am now celebrating a year of this dream coming to life!

In addition to our open house/celebration I will be facilitating 3 yoga practices; a gentle flow 11-12 am, a meditation practice 12:30-1 pm, and a pay what you can practice for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community 7:30-8:30 pm. All practices are offered in person and via zoom. I hope you can come celebrate with me or make it out to a practice.

A gathering to connect land | people | tradition

Spring Equinox Celebration

This is a time of year when people in the northern hemisphere, while still experiencing the persistent cold of Winter, are noticing the growing light and preparing for the sowing of Spring seeds.

Gather over a seasonal beverage and treat and explore the themes of the season. Draw on Nature’s intelligence and ask for her guidance. Reflect on and share the wisdoms received. Tap into the wisdom of early Spring with a ‘Jam Ceremony’ infused with embodied practices, inspiring reflection, resonant spoken word, and circle singing! Then, stay for some social time over a warm beverage and simple, seasonal snack.

Welcoming Victoria Powell to the third space. Victoria will be offering a 30 minute face massage and yoga practice Saturday February 7th at 3 pm.

About Victoria - Victoria is a certified Face Yoga instructor who is passionate about helping clients enhance facial strength, release tension, and promote overall well-being through gentle exercises, massage, and mindful movement.

About the offering/practice - this gentle face massage class focuses on lymphatic drainage, acupressure and skin lifting to help relax facial muscles and promote a natural glow. We ask you arrive with clean skin and if you have a neutral/unscented facial oil you would like to bring please feel free. We want to be mindful of folks with scent sensitivities and ask you do not bring anything with a lot of fragrance.

Come try this new offering and leave with some new tools for self care and relaxation.
