SKILLS WORKSHOP: DEFENSIVE STRATEGIES
Saturday September 19 2026

This workshop will focus on strategies to identify, avoid, and de-escalate violence. Topics covered will include Situational Awareness, Threat Identification, Verbal De-escalation, Boundary Setting, Distance Management, and more. Content will include both discussions and scenario practice.

This is an excellent precursor to October’s workshop – Defensive Maneuvers – where we will dive into more physical responses to violence when avoidance and de-escalation aren’t options.

I can't believe we are at the stage where I get to post this, but I'm so pumped.

With back-to-school season in full swing, our Kids and Teen Level 1 Self-Defence Classes are almost completely full. We actually have more people booked for free trials this month than we have open spots for.

Dont worry - next month new spots will be opening up because we have several students in each class graduating. But that waitlist is first-come-first-serve so if you've been meaning to sign your kiddo up, you might wanna get on that!
