What is Kobudo?

Kobudo translates to “old martial way.”
It refers to the classical Okinawan weapons training, practiced alongside karate including the sai, bo, tonfa, jo, and other traditional tools made weapons. More on this to follow.

At Shorinji Karate Dojo, our Kobudo practice teaches that the weapon is merely an extension of the body and the true weapon is the mind that wields it.
