Fun Thursday on the boat! 4 hour morning charter with some guests from Kentucky. Fish kept us busy going 13/14 with 1 laker, 2 bows, 4 chinook, and the rest were small coho.
The evening was Jonny and Will who won his division in Fishing Friendzy Foundation. It was a very slow evening until the last 30 minutes. We ended up going 4/5 with 2 lake trout, a coho, and a 13.5lb chinook. Got2Bite fly took the biggest chinook of the day along with a few coho. TNT Fishing Lures in my custom colours, Silver fox tackle green frog and a prototype produced well too.

Congrats to one of my clients today on getting drafted by my hometown (and 2026 memorial cup champion) Kitchener Rangers. Going from the kid who needed the fighting belt, to the dude with the baby blue cowboy hat, to an OHL draft pick. Hope to see you between the pipes at the aud soon!

Fun Sunday with a 5 hour charter in the morning and a 4 hour in the evening. Morning was 15/15 with 1 rainbow, 2 coho, and 12 lake trout. Evening was 7/12 with all lake trout landed. Spoons were the ticket with my custom TNT Fishing Lures and a prototype Silver fox tackle taking most of the fish. The rainbow we cleaned had 10 junebugs in its stomach which I have never seen before.

2 new toys for my clients. Shimano North America Fishing reels. Another 600 Tekota loaded with 350 yards of 50lb yellow Power Pro and an 800 Tekota with 300 yards of 50lb yellow power pro and 300’ of Torpedo Divers weighted steel.

Fun morning with solo client Ele. For the first hour, we couldn’t get our full set up out. It’s was steady action all morning going 15/20. 4 salmon including this tank 11lb coho, the rest were lake trout. Special note: body baits have sharp treble hooks and angry salmon like to share the hooks with you.

Solid 3 hours this morning going 10/11. 3 chinook and 8 lake trout. Silver fox tackle spoons, TNT Fishing Lures spoons, and Yaleye Fish Lures hooligan body baits were the winners today. I’ll add a video of a double header in the comments too.

We’re in the water! First boat in the marina this year. After helping some other club members do some work around the marina, dad and I went out for a little shakedown run. We stayed in shallow to see what we could find and also dial in the new Garmin. We found a couple lakers and almost had a small chinook salmon jump in the boat. Beautiful day today. Can’t wait to put more smiles on faces this season!

Getting ready to put the boat in the water this weekend and headed to Natural Sports - The Fishing Store to spool up a couple of my Shimano North America Fishing Tekota 600’s with this new Sunline “no flea” line in the 40lb test. We’ll see what it’s like in July and August when the fleas get bad on Lake Ontario.
