“After pregnancy and giving birth I felt foreign in my own body. During pregnancy, I ate whatever cravings I had which resulted in significant weight gain. After taking some time with baby and to recover I finally took the plunge and was ready to make a change. My initial goal was just to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, but little did I know that I was capable of so much more. I am now down over 45lbs since starting nutrition coaching at Landmark Strength and I have surpassed my initial goal (which honestly felt unattainable at times before starting).
My nutrition coaching experience has been nothing short of amazing. It truly is a lifestyle change and I don’t really see it as a diet. I am able to still enjoy food, not be starving and eat everything in moderation. I was drawn to Cheryl because of her own successes, positive attitude, approachability, and realistic tailored coaching style. I like having someone who will hold me accountable and help me reach my goals. Initially, I didn’t think this was something I could do as I never took my nutrition seriously. Now I really do see that it is the foundation and key to see results. Even though it is hard at times it is more simple than I made it out to be initially. For me the hardest part was staying consistent during the summer months when I am busy with friends or family, however I was already in the routine and was able to build in some flexibility on the weekends and make better choices which allows me to sustain it.
The best part of this journey is feeling confident in my new mom body and feeling stronger and more like myself again. I have also started to notice the positive impact I am having on people close to me which is a bonus. As for next steps, I want to see what my body is capable of, I would like to get down to a lower body fat percentage, gain some muscle, and be the strongest momma I can be.”
