That's a wrap for our 2025-2026 Bowling Season🏆🎳
It was a season of fun, friendships, sport and lot's of laughs!
We ended our night with a fun pizza party and games.

Big shout out to our Community Sponsors over the years who allow for this group to gather and grow each year. Your contributions and support keep us going.
And to our Volunteers (red shirts) who show up for us every week, they are our biggest cheerleaders and have the kindest hearts 🩷

Only a few more dates left to wrap up our Swimming and Indoor Curling league, then we are on break till fall.

✨ Welcome Back, Special Olympics Stettler Community! ✨

We’ve been a little quiet on here (life gets busy!) — but we’re so happy to share that Special Olympics Stettler is back in full swing for our third year of sport! 🎉

This season we’re offering bowling, swimming, and — new this year — floor curling! 🌀

It’s been wonderful seeing our community back together again — all the smiles, laughter, and friendship that make this group so special. 💙

We’re also incredibly grateful for the support of our local community. Your sponsorships mean so much — helping us subsidize costs for athletes, rent space for sports, and supply shirts for our group and volunteers. 🙏🏻

Unfortunately the weather forecast for tomorrow evening looks like it will be -35 with the wind chill factored in. So we will be cancelling tomorrow's bowling session and moving it to next Monday February 10th.

Special Olympics Alberta does have an Inclement Weather Policy that requires indoor programs to be cancelled when the wind chill temperature drops below -30.

We will see you next Monday!

Happy New Year from Special Olympics Stettler!!

As always we are looking forward to getting back into routine and connecting with our community. Just a reminder that we are offering bowling and swimming to anyone who is interested in joining our group. It’s a great space for our athletes to connect in sport and friendship. Speaking as a parent of one of our athletes, this is also a great space for us parents to connect as well!

Our swimming program is off to a terrific start! Friday swims start with fun free time and finish off with instructed lesson. A great way to finish off the week 🏊🏻‍♂️
