We had a great season!
Final game on Wednesday night was a solid win over a team that had beat us earlier in the year.

Thank you to all the players and parents who committed to the team. It was very neat to watch the team last night play so excellent together.

Thank you to Mrs Shepherd and the Wm. E. Hay Stettler Secondary Campus for providing gym time for us to practice and the uniforms. That made the season an affordable option for players.

We had all the players write something about the season to each coach. The overwhelming theme from all players was the coaches pushed each player to be better than they ever expected they could be and it was done such a gentle and respectful way. It made me proud to read these comments to our coaches.

With the close of a successful first season, we are excited to come back next years with an expanded offering.
We have had a few coaches contact us and want to be involved for next year. We intend to have U15 and U18 boys and girls teams. Tell your friends

Fun game and a WIN for the wildcats last night in Red Deer league play.
Coach Travis and Yannick had the team firing on all cylinders.

Next week is the last game and will close out our club basketball season.
We plan to expand the teams for next year. We would love to see you part of our team.

The Wildcats Club Basketball season has officially started!
Players are rocking their awesome hoodies and warmup shirts at their first game in Red Deer Wednesday evening.
Unfortunately they lost their game by only 2 points versus Olds, who we expect to be the strongest team in the league. It was a great game and we are looking forward to next week versus Sylvan Lake.

The Wildcats had their first exhibition game, getting ready for league play in Red Deer.
The team did great. Coach Travis, Yannick and Joy had the girls is great form in the win over Red Deer.

League play begins May 3 versus Olds

Hi everyone. If you have a high school girl player interested in basketball we need 2 more players to make this team a go.
Please share with your friends. It’s a 2005-2007 born players team but we are accepting underage 2008 born players. Surrounding communities are welcome.

Open house practices are complete, we are ready to start regular practices next week!

There is still time to join! Print this off and send it to us by tomorrow if possible. If you have any questions, please give us a call. Phone numbers and email are on the form. Strong grade 9 2008 born players are welcome. Open to players from surrounding communities. We would love to see you in a Wildcats jersey!

Our second open house practice was well attended. Thank you to everyone who came out.
Coach Travis and Yannick had the girls running some really neat drills.

For all those that attened, please have your registration sheets in by Tuesday March 28.
If you were not able to attend but would like to still play, send us a message and we can send you a sheet to fill out so we can start regular practices on April 3. This is a 2005-2007 girls team and we will also accept some strong Underage 2008 born players. You can also email at [email protected]

We had a great Monday night open house for the high school girls team. Coaches Travis, Yannick and Joy had the girls working hard.

We are having another open house practice on Wednesday 6-8 pm in the Sr high Gym. We are looking for a few more players to round out the team. If you are a strong grade 9 (2008 born) player, you are welcome to attend.

It will run Mondays and Wednesdays until the end of June. We have the opportunity to play 7 games in the Red Deer league on a Monday or Wednesday night through May and June. This is against other towns such as Rimbey, Olds, Sylvan Lake, Eckville, Rocky Mountain House and some Red Deer teams.

All are welcome from surrounding communities as well. We hope to see you there!

Open House practice Tomorrow! 6-8pm Jr High Gym. Wednesday 6-8pm Sr High gym.

We are so excited to start the Wildcats High School Girls Club Basketball team. Open to players from surrounding communities.

Here are the details for the team season.
2005-2007 born girl players.
Coach - Travis Morrison
Assistant coach - Yannick Zondag
Team Manager and assistant coach - Joy Corpataux
Club Director - Lance Neilson

Cost - $265 plus $20 online registration fee to Alberta Basketball

Season has two options that can be discussed at the open house.

Option A - practices twice per week on Monday and Wednesday until May. Then we will attend one league game in Red Deer and one practice per week in Stettler on Monday’s and Wednesday’s until the end of June when the season is over. We will plan for one tournament that will likely be somewhere in central Alberta.

Option B - practice twice per week on Monday and Wednesday until June. Attend one or two tournaments during the spring in either Central Alberta or Edmonton. We have spoke with Camrose club team and they would be open to an exhibition game or two.

Each player will receive a shirt or sweater to keep and uniforms will be provided to use for the season.

We can answer any questions and discuss the two options at the end of practice tomorrow evening.

Remember - Open House practice for 2005 - 2007 born girl players on Monday March 20 6-8 pm in Jr High Gym and again on Wednesday March 22 in Sr high Gym. We would love to see you there!

We have an opportunity to join league play in the Red Deer Minor Basketball association. This would provide 1 game per week in Red Deer on either Monday or Wednesday for 7 weeks starting in May to the end of June. This is a very neat option for our team to get quality play with certified refs against other similar skill level Central Alberta teams. It would not increase our registration costs.
