✨ Music, Movement & Meditation on the Rooftop ✨
Join us for a special Summer Solstice evening of music, movement, meditation, and community as Heather Cameron and Anna Galvin come together to create a unique rooftop experience.
The evening will begin with Heather’s beautiful live music welcoming you into the space, followed by a gentle guided relaxation and a slow Yin-Yasa flow that blends movement and stillness. Together we’ll clear energy, settle into the present moment, and enjoy the sounds of the music around us. The evening will close with shared singing and chanting for those who feel comfortable joining in, or simply relaxing and enjoying the experience.
Dress in layers and bring a blanket and pillow if you’d like to get extra cozy.
🎶 About Heather Cameron
Born and raised in Pictou County, Heather grew up surrounded by music. The fiddle, guitar, bagpipes, and piano became her constant companions, and she developed a soulful voice from an early age. Her passion for the healing power of music led her to study Music Therapy and travel across Canada to further her education in music and creative arts.
Today, Heather works both independently and with Nova Scotia Health as a Music Therapist while continuing to perform and record professionally. Many of our members already know and love Heather from her regular appearances in yoga practices here at Mobility, where yoga remains an important part of her own self-care journey.
🧘 About Anna Galvin
Anna is a Registered Social Worker with Nova Scotia Health who also “moonlights” as a yoga and fitness instructor. Finding her way to the yoga mat during challenging times in her social work career helped her navigate occupational stress and her own mental health journey.
Anna completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Joy Nicholson of the former Joyful Yoga Studio in 2020 and has been teaching ever since. As a musician herself, Anna sings with The Carillon Singers, a local women’s choir made up of both amateur and professional musicians. Bringing together music, movement, and mental wellness is one of her favourite things to do, and she is delighted to collaborate with Heather for this special event.
We hope you’ll join us for this beautiful evening celebrating the longest day of the year through movement, music, mindfulness, and connection.
There couldn’t be a better way to celebrate the longest day of the year than surrounded by community, live music, gentle movement, and the open sky. We hope you’ll join us.
