Of all the teams and players participating in the U17 ‘D’ division, our own Liam Olivieri was noted as a top performer for the weekend - leading the weekend in points.

Since Provincials wrapped some of our Hitmen have been recognized in the lacrosse community for doing some pretty cool stuff.

Earlier this month we had three of our U17 majors selected to join Epic, a showcase designed to bring together Ontario’s top graduating U17 athletes for an elite weekend of competition, development, and exposure.

Representing the Stayner Hitmen were
🥍 Lane van der Valk-Team Red-Transition/Defense
🥍 Nolan Bryan - Team Teal- Goalie
🥍 Owen Bernadino-Team Teal - Transition/Forward

Overall, it was an amazing experience for the boys to showcase their talent and play with some of the best U17 majors across Ontario. In addition to playing 5 games each, our players got the opportunity to experience training sessions from top NLL players like Nick Rose, & Chris Corbeil (3X NLL champion).

In the end team, Teal took 🥇 Red 🥈, but great to see all three of our Hitmen in the final at such a high calibre event.

The accomplishments we are seeing is a testament to the hard work, perseverance and dedication our players and coaches have to Lacrosse. Getting recognition for our center is a massive accomplishment and signs of a strong future for Stayner Hitmen Minor Lacrosse.

We’re on the hunt for a few more players to make the Sixes season for U13 possible! Like, comment, share this post and rally your friends and teammates so we can make this happen!

We are so excited to celebrate our Stayner Hitmen and all they have accomplished this season at our year end banquet! Mark your calendars and save the date - we can’t wait to see you there!

📍Sixth Line Church
⏱️ 6:30PM start

NEW THIS YEAR we are asking families to bring along non-perishable food items to be donated to the local Stayner Food Bank. Donations are encouraged but not mandatory.

We’re looking for a few more players to fill our Sixes Rosters. If your interested is playing the the Stayner Hitmen this Fall, it’s not too late!

Here’s how our teams look so far:
- U11: 6 Registrations
- U13: 5 Registrations
- U15: 7 Registrations

We’re about half way there for 3 age groups! We need 12 players per team. So if you’re interested, head to our website. Curious what the Season looks like? Your registration includes:

- one practice a week
- games on Saturdays (tournament style)
- Provincials in Hamilton (October 17th to 18th)

It’s a short season, and a great way to hone your lacrosse skills for a bit longer.

The Stayner Hitmen are your U17 ‘D’ Division Champions!

With a perfect record of 5-0 this weekend this U17 crew took provincial’s by storm. After a season of highs and lows, they couldn’t have asked for a better ending. Thank you to all that made this season possible, and to the players for showing up and working hard no matter what.

A massive congratulations to our U11’s on a fantastic season. This team had an great season and went into Provincial’s prepped and ready to go. They took every challenge head on, came back from losses to win big games, and worked hard as a team to get better week after week, game after game.
