Wildwood Dragon Boat Challenge Annual Dragon Boat Challenge east of St. Marys, Ontario on May 23, 2026. Proudly supporting Andrew's Legacy AED mission & the Thames River Paddling Club.

Kick off your season with a variety of thrilling races, great energy, and an unbeatable venue! The dragons are returning to Wildwood!! This one day event is about community FUN, exercise and some friendly competition. Follow us or visit our website to learn how you can get involved. Bring out the family, enjoy the park, music, our BBQ lunch, games for all ages and cheer on your favourite team. Joi

n or create a team! With superb racing conditions and located next to St. Marys; teams of all levels will be in attendance. This promises to be a great team building activity for businesses & social groups! Everything you need to participate is available, including your own practice by an experienced coach.

300m, 100m Knock-Out Sprints and a Flag Catching race for the top teams. Each race earns points to declare the overall winners! Awards and bragging rights are up for grabs! Bonus awards will be presented to the Best Community Team (St. Marys Area), Best Team Spirit. Challenge Cups will also be held based on demand for categories such as Junior Team or Emergency & Medical Service Team. OVERALL CHAMPIONS RECEIVE FREE ENTRY TO OUR 2024 WDBC! The dragon is awake! 🐲🐉

Volunteers Bryan and Heather led our Eye Dotting Ceremony this morning to open the races, despite the rain! Thank you so much to everyone for coming out to race, volunteer, and start the season!

The first races are about to begin - results will be posted near the pavilion and the announcement tent....conveniently placed near the Joe's Diner booth and the Silent Auction!! Check out the silent auction items with breakfast from Joe's Diner while you wait for the results 🥯☕

Well, sometimes one of the "challenges" with the Wildwood Dragon Boat Challenge is the weather...🌧 Regardless, we know that paddlers are made of "sterner" stuff (see what I did there? ;-) ).
