On Sunday September 28 Parks Lawn Bowling hosted its final tournament of the season, a trebles tournament where at least 1 player from each team had to have a novice player(5 years or fewer). 14 teams participated in this tournament sponsored by Sharon Farrish.

Parks Lawn Bowling hosted a mixed pairs/women’s pairs event sponsored by Tye’s Detailing(donated $100 gift certificate towards a car detail)and the Collins family. 14 teams(including 2 novice teams playing in their rookie year)competed in 4-10 end games. The weather was great and lunch was wonderful.
The winners were:
1st Place- Andy and Debbie Davis(Len Boreham substituted due to illness)

2nd Place- David Bell and Sandy Ronson

3rd Place- Chris and Dawn Collins

4th Place- Wayne and Gail Christie

5th Place- Dianne Trask and Alexis Fares

6th Prize- Rick Wood and Kay Johns

Last night we had our first(hopefully annual) Presidential Invitational(I’ll probably think of a better name) Novice as a skip tournament. 12 Novice paired with 12 Non-Novice bowlers in a 3-8 end tournament where each game the Non-Novice would draw for a different partner. It was a very successful tournament.
