Our fan-favorite Women & Wine league is back at Plaza Bowl, and it’s officially time to gather your squad for the ultimate girls' night out. Whether you’re throwing perfect strikes or strictly testing the durability of the gutters, we don't judge—the wine tastes the exact same either way! 😉

Starting September 13th, meet us every Sunday at 7:30 PM. Just $20 gets you two games of bowling and two alcoholic drinks. Bring your own crew of four or sign up solo and let us match you with your new best friends. Ready to swap cup-of-tea energy for a glass of pinot? Tomorrow is the beginning of registration! Drop down to the lanes to register your kids for this upcoming season! We can’t wait to see familiar faces and meet new friends along the way!

Free Youth Bowling (YBC) is back at Plaza Bowl! Weekly games are completely free for kids ages 5 to 19, making it a fantastic opportunity for young bowlers of all skill levels to learn teamwork, build confidence, and make new friends in their age division. Participants even get the chance to compete in exciting provincial and national tournaments throughout the season.

Registration opens on August 31st, 2026, with games taking place every Saturday starting September 19th. Peewees and Bantams hit the lanes at 10:00 AM, followed by Juniors and Seniors at 12:00 PM. While the weekly bowling is free, there is a one-time $50 registration fee to cover provincial and national affiliation costs.

Huge thanks to the 40 bowlers who brought the energy tonight! We have so much unbelievable youth talent in this province. Big congratulations to every division winner—especially our own team member Vanessa, for winning both scratch and POA in her division! This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to grow this event for next year.

Today marks a major turning point for our team as we say goodbye to one of our longest-serving and most dedicated staff members. Today was Katie’s last shift!

Katie was practically raised at the lanes. With her father being a competitive champion and her grandparents running the YBC program, she was destined for bowling greatness. From bowling before she could barley stand, to winning National Gold right here on home soil (lane 27/28) to spending the last 8 years taking care of everyone here—if you’ve visited the lanes, you’ve definitely seen her face!

Now, she’s moving across the country for new endeavours. Katie, thank you for everything you’ve done here, we love and support you endlessly, and you will always have a home here.
