Now that the dust has settled, I want to acknowledge Tyler Snow, Matt Kippenhuck, and Rob Shandera as the club’s first three team members promoted to black belt. They trained hard, tested their knowledge in front of Professor Pedro Sauer and showed the rest of the team they earned it. Proud of you, friends!

Without question, the best part of tournament travel is the team! Athletes and coaches from BTTT Blaketown Top Team Jiu-Jitsu Kc Whitney Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Michael Foley's Academy of Martial Arts travelled to Montreal together, coached one another (before, during, and after matches), and celebrated everything that happened on the mats. Forever grateful for this crew, and the rest of the team cheering from home 😌
