We opened Electric Allstars Cheerleading gym somewhat blindly and quickly when our previous program shut down surprisingly at the end of a season. We saw the positive impact the sport had on the kids, and wanted them to have a home to practice the sport they loved. As a small local business we have had to navigate the complications of Covid every single season we were open, and have never had the chance to have a "regular" season. It has been a challenging road, but despite it all, it has been one we truly loved.
As most of our athletes now know, we have decided to close Electric Allstars. It was an extremely hard and devastating decision for us to make. We really had to decide if we wanted to maintain and follow our values as opposed to challengeing others that have totally different philosophies and priorities than us. To clarify for those who asked, Sam and I were not approached in any way, at any time, and have not been asked to be included in any way with Cheer Sport Sharks NL. Over the last few months Sam and I have been the subject of many untruthful stories, and we decided that the best decision was one where we remove ourselves and the athletes that we adore from this very unhealthy situation, hence the closing of the program. We are sorry people were put in the middle of this situation, and are sad for our loyal and experienced coaches now left with nowhere to go this season. We are forever grateful to you for standing by us, as we once did for you years ago.
Although our time as a program was short, we accomplished great things and we have many fond memories to cherish for a lifetime - and we hope our coaches, athletes, and families do too.
