In Loving Memory of Tony Tobin 🎱💙
Our hearts are broken as we say good-bye to another cherished member of our pool family, a dear friend, Tony Tobin 💔😭 (Member C3303598)

Tony was an exceptional human being who made a lasting impression on everyone. The biggest smile and the cutest chuckle. He was quiet and gentle but blunt and fierce at the same time (in a funny kinda way). Tony has been a dedicated league member since the Summer of 2016 and ever since, he has been a loyal friend to not only his pool family but his West Side Charlies family in Mount Pearl and Paradise. His laughter, his dance moves, his regular gas price updates, and just his overall presence will sincerely be missed by so many.

We extend our deepest condolences to Tony’s immediate family, pool family, and friends, especially his dearest friend of all, Vickie Stead. Since 2016, side by side on every pool team and event, their friendship has been solid, an unbreakable bond, rarely seeing one without the other. You are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Monday, June 22 from 2 – 4pm and 7 – 9pm. Funeral service will be held at the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, June 23 at 2pm. Private burial to be held at a later date in St. Mary’s Bay.

Masters League – Summer 2026 session starts next week!

Masters is an advanced format that’s equal parts challenging and fun. It’s unique and skill forward format makes it the perfect complement to your regular league night!

This is the second session of out of three in our masters league year. The qualifying team will advance to the 2027 Masters Regional Championships where they’ll compete for Vegas!

We have three masters divisions available. It’s important to note that these divisions will only go ahead if enough teams register.

Masters League Options:

Weekly • 7:30 PM
West Side Charlies Village Mall
Starts June 28th, 2026
12 weeks of play + playoffs
Minimum 4 teams required to go ahead

🎱TUESDAY
Weekly • 7:30 PM

Starts June 23rd, 2026
12 weeks of play + playoffs
Minimum 6 teams required to go ahead

🎱WEDNESDAY

In Loving Memory of Joey “Batman” Dwyer 💔
💔It is with heavy hearts that we say good-bye to a cherished member of our pool family and dear friend, Joey “Batman” Dwyer (Member C3303452)

Joey was one of a kind. He loved his friends and hanging out at pool. He loved to carry on, and if you pointed a joke his way, you better have been prepared to get roasted back. Besides being a jokester, he also had a big heart. If you were having an off day, he could tell and would make sure you were ok and was always willing to talk. He truly showed his love to the friends he surrounded himself with.

We extend our deepest condolences to Joey’s immediate family, pool family, and friends, especially his dearest friend Tracey Parrell who stood by his side until the end. You are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Joey first started with the CPA in the Fall 2015 Session with Old School which still exists today with some of those original players. Joey played on 9 different teams in the league since that first session. He came close a couple of times to winning a trip to Vegas but just never ever got there. That didn’t matter to him though. All he cared about was having a good time and hanging out with his friends. His most recent teams both played out of WSC Torbay Road in the Spring Session of 2026, Shooting Impaired (DJ Wed nights) and Beer Pressure (Bi-weekly Thursday 9-Ball). Even though he had been sick for a while, he still kept tabs on the teams and every so often popped a comment in their team chats about how well they did, or to crack a joke at someone’s expense. Those moments will be forever cherished

As per Joey's wishes, cremation has taken place and he has been laid to rest with his mother. May he now rest in peace.
