After an international break that felt longer than the World Cup itself, WE ARE BACK!!!!

Just the small matter of MAN CITY (yeah, that Man City) visiting Anfield this Sunday! I believe they've been in the news a bit lately?

1PM NL time kickoff. Let's fill the Duke!

Inevitably some injuries were suffered on international duty. Our two biggest sources of goals so far this term, and , will miss this one.

Score predictions? How will the atmosphere be inside Anfield given the opposition?

We go into the international break, winning four out of our last five games (If only we could have stolen it fully from Fulham!), while also remaining undefeated on the season so far. Another interesting fact, when Ronald Araújo is on the pitch we have yet to concede a goal.

Some BIG match ups ahead after the break however, with a big match up against Manchester City on the cards yet (A Duke of Duckworth event)!

What do you make of Iraola seven games into the season? If given a letter grade what would you give him so far?

"That midfield with Dom, Macca, and Gravenberch just isn't...", oh nevermind that passing thought. What a thunderstrike from Szobo to put the game fully out of reach against Spurs (That has to be a goal of the season contender too). Liverpool take it on the night, winning 3 - 1!

The gaffer went with a mix team but ended up with positive results with many of our fringe players stepping up to the task. Though unlucky to not get on the scoresheet, Koumas with a nice MOTM performance. Another with his critics, but Mamardashvili stepped up in a huge way with monumental saves.

Could this be a cup that we make a run on? Would a top four place and a Carabao cup win be a successful season under Iraola's first go?

Another game, another draw, this time to Fulham as we end 0-0.

There were a couple of nice chances here and there, especially from Isak, but the ball just couldn't find the back of the net. Fair credit to Fulham, as they were defensively stout for most the entire match.

The Liverpool midfield was a bit clunky at times, we a couple misplaced passes that really stopped progression forward. Too many foolish passing errors, both from young and older players unfortunately. Iraola needs to figure this piece out.

The positives ... we remain undefeated on the season. What are your thoughts? Where do we need to improve going forward?

Is this team beginning to come together?

The Reds with another win on the trot, winning 2-1 against arguably one of our toughest opponents on paper in the Champions League.

The new identity of the Reds is showing, energy, runs, attacking on the ball ... and all of our players are stating how "intense" the training sessions are. Andoni Iraola, lets keep this going!

Who was your MOTM? Solid performances from new signings Jacquet and Araujo (What an assist!), and it was nice to see both Szobo and Macca get on the score sheet.

A nice start to the weekend, with a clean 2-0 finish against Ipswich!

Iraola made some major starting changes, with Araujo and Macca getting thrusted into action. Those changes seem to have paid off, with a much more solid backline and more fluidity in our midfield.

Gakpo and Isak, take a bow ... these were two highlighted as needing big seasons for the Reds. Hopefully this is the start of their form. It was also nice to see Barcola get a couple minutes as well.

What were your thoughts on the game? Who was your MOTM?

Milos Kerkez highlighted the importance of Liverpool taking forward momentum from Friday night's victory over Ipswich Town.

Another 2-2 draw, as we start the season on a two game unbeaten run. The Reds would look back on this game with rued chances along with a few dubious ref calls (VAR goal call back and Alisson penalty).

Nice to see both Isak and Munoz get on the score sheet, hopefully this is the start of form for the pair of them (We'll need it going forward).

It was nice to see a bit more pace and attitude in the second half, with a few choice aggressive yellows to set the tone further of how we wanted to play. More of this please.

Who was your MOTM? How are we feeling two games into the season so far?

Florian Wirtz was ultimately left frustrated at Liverpool failing to pick up three points against Nottingham Forest, despite the encouraging responses to falling behind.

Szobo with the pen at the death to grasp a late point at St. James, in a 2-2 tie.

Some old habits came up again in fast break counters leading to goals and going down. As the subs came on in the second half, we did seem to find a bit more rhythm and fluidity with our passing.

The new signings of last year, especially Wirtz and Isak, we need to see more in the coming games. Earn your spot in the squad and show us why you were worth the price tag.

Annnnndddddddddddddd we’re back!

The Reds kick off the season this Sunday at 1:00pm against Newcastle!

It’s a new season, with a new attitude and energy. Let’s hope the Reds can kick on afresh with a nice victory.

Will Isak get a warm reception from the Newcastle fans? Will Szobo take the VC armband? Will we see free flowing football? So many questions and answers waiting!
