Originally founded as Moksha Yoga, we've been turning up the heat in St. John's since February 2012 – inspiring you to live your best life, and to help you cope with the long St. John's is a clean, spacious and relaxing spa-inspired studio. The studio is infused with the refreshing aroma of essential oils from our plant-based cleaning products, and comforting aroma of cedarwood in our practice roo

ms – helping to promote a deeper sense of peace and relaxation. Whether you are an absolute beginner or a more experienced yogi, we offer over 40 weekly in-studio classes that are challenging, healthy and fun. Our goal is to help you leave feeling calm, fit, and inspired – on and off your yoga mat. Our foundational practice is Modo – a dynamic system of hot yoga postures and breathing exercises rooted in the traditional teachings of yoga and yoga therapy concepts, specifically designed to be practiced in the heat. Befriending Fear 💭 Workshop with Whit Hornsberger
Fear is a natural part of being human—but what if, instead of resisting it, we learned to work with it?

Join Whit for a lecture and mettā meditation to gently befriend fear through the cultivation of loving kindness. In this workshop, you will explore the Western and Buddhist science of fear (bhaya), including its evolutionary roots, neuroanatomy, and conditioned patterns within the mind. Through teachings drawn from Buddhist psychology, neuroscience, evolutionary psychology, and contemplative practice, you will examine how fear operates and how loving-kindness (mettā) offers a path toward greater freedom, awareness, and inner security.

Whit draws from over two decades of dedicated study and practice in Theravada Buddhism, Classical Yoga, meditation, psychology, and yoga therapy. His approach integrates traditional Buddhist and yogic wisdom with modern understandings of the human mind, suffering, and healing.

This workshop is an invitation to meet yourself with curiosity, compassion, and courage—both on and off the mat.
