ATTENTION: All clients who are participating in the VO2 max Testing, be advised this will be your final reminder to complete your VO2 testing link form.

Multiple reminders have been sent by email correspondence. If you do not complete the required forms you will now potentially lose your appointment slot and associated costs. If you did not recieve the forms or correspondence please check your junk/spam mail.

Be advised: You should have recieved your documentation with information regarding your V02 max testing. These documents must be filled out and submitted before your testing date. If documents have not been submitted pre-testing you will be unable to complete VO2 Max test.

Health Guard is officially open for bookings for the physical fitness evaluations needed for the SJRFD recruitment. We are now conducting a VO2 Max test on a treadmill, aligned with industry standards, to ensure every candidate is assessed on measurable performance.

After completing your VO2 Max test, you’ll move on to the job-related tasks a few days later. Success in both stages qualifies you for a certification that can be submitted with your official SJRFD application.

Exciting news from the St John's Regional Fire Department. In anticipation for this recruitment drive Health Guard will advise once booking is available.

The St. John’s Regional Fire Department (SJRFD) anticipates posting a job competition in early September 2026. Applications will be accepted through the City of St. John’s Careers website. Recruitment advisories will also be published on the City of St. John’s website, the City of Mount Pearl website, and the Town of Paradise website.

Prospective candidates are strongly encouraged to review the 2026–2027 SJRFD Firefighter Recruitment Guide, which outlines the required qualifications and details of the hiring process. Particular attention should be paid to the changes made to the minimum qualifications.
