Sorry for the late notice. I've been under the weather today. Thought I could sleep it off but doesnt seem to be working. So there will be no kids classes tonight. Adults can do an open mat or somethinf if they are going in.

Again , sorry for the late post. I was looking forwards to seeing everyine before I go. But ill be back in the new year to say hi

Five years ago, while living in Sydney, Nova Scotia…I considered trying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for the first time.
Two years later, I took my first class. If someone had told me then that I’d be opening a jiu-jitsu gym in Richmond County, I wouldn’t have believed them.

I’m grateful to Samson Martial Arts and Fitness for bringing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to the area in the first place. Without them, our community wouldn’t have it and I wouldn’t have met the incredible people I have along the way.

In early 2026, I’ll be opening Piratesway Jiu-Jitsu, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym in St. Peter’s, Nova Scotia, serving Richmond County. It’s a new name, but the same Jiu-Jitsu, the same people, and the same foundation. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow the local Jiu-Jitsu community.
