I'm a Civil Engineer, Climbing & Skiing Guide and a serious Gear J***y. After spending years using and abusing gear both recreationally and professionally a friend over at The Alpine Start turned me onto reviewing gear. The combination of my engineering background and mountain guiding experience and training allow me to critically analyze equipment and apparel to provide in-depth reviews on exhaustively tested gear.
