We’re thrilled to have our very own Jaime and Brittany (Rock and Rise volunteer organisers) leading guided yoga sessions all weekend long! Included with your festival pass, these morning classes are designed to help you slow down, tune in, and prepare your body for the day ahead.
Roll out your mat and join us at 7:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday morning for movement, mindfulness, and a little extra stoke before the day’s adventures begin.

Shining the spotlight on one of our mentors, Erin Rautenstrauch (she/they) ✨

Erin is a triple threat climber / entrepreneur / veteran, and we are thrilled to have them on our mentorship team. Erin is Syilx from the Okanagan Indian Band and moved to Squamish to pursue entrepreneurship in the beverage industry while working in the outdoor industry. 💪

They are passionate about mentorship and representation in outdoor adventure sports; in 2021, they founded the non-profit GOATS (Gayest Of All The Senders) on Vancouver Island to build safe and joyful spaces for underrepresented climbers. 🌈

Erin is mentoring in the Bouldering and Intro to Rock clinics for our and scholarship recipients (if you are wondering about these scholarships, see our last post!)

We’re beyond excited to welcome Emilie Pellerin () to Rock and Rise 2026 as one of our festival mentors!
Arc’teryx athlete and ACMG Rock Guide, Emilie has spent nearly two decades climbing around the world, building an impressive resume across trad, sport, and big wall climbing. She’s one of the only Canadian women to have climbed 5.14a trad and onsighted 5.13d sport, achievements that have earned her recognition as one of the strongest and most accomplished trad climbers in the country.
Alongside her climbing career, she’s also an amazing dancer, a board game enthusiast, and baker ✨
This summer, Emilie will be leading our Fear of Falling clinics on both Saturday and Sunday. We honestly can’t imagine a better person to hold space for conversations around fear, confidence, and growth in climbing.

We’ve all been there, run out on a slab of a multipitch we thought was only going to be crack climbing, slightly freaking out. It’s no fun, but what is fun is learning how to tame these improbable walls!

Without further ado we’d like to introduce local Squamish slab queen who’s running a Slab Technique clinic at Rock and Rise on Sunday the 28th of June. Renée is a fiend on the slabs (8a slabs ✅) and is more than well equipped to teach us about how balance, body positioning, foot work, pressure, and even the type of shoes all play a part in how we can up our slab game wether for multi or single pitch.

Come learn from this black cat q***r who’s also going to be djing for us Saturday night! 🥳👯
