Ooo boy, look at what I’ve got my hands on ❤️‍🔥

Whenever I’ve thought about E-bikes in the past, I’ve predominantly thought about the intensity, more riding in less time. That’s most certainly true, although what I didn’t expect with this bike was how little I’d need to give up in return. This bike still feels like you’re riding a bike, the feedback from the bike and terrain are still natural and shockingly similar to my enduro bike, the descents are still by far the highlight of the day.

The biggest difference for me is that I’ve found myself saying yes to rides I probably wouldn’t have bothered with before, alongside coming home having done a lot more laps than I thought I would.

This bike has reignited the spark, It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed blasting laps this much!

A new season and a whole bunch of new rubber. 👀

Switching to this year meant starting from scratch when it came to tire choice. With multiple bikes, disciplines, and riding styles to consider, figuring out the right setup felt pretty overwhelming at first.
Gravity, trail, race, different casings, compounds, constructions and tread patterns… it ain’t hard to get lost in the sauce when you’re the elusive perfect setup.

Thankfully, Schwalbe’s tire guide breaks it down into a simple step-by-step process that made choosing tyres for every bike surprisingly straightforward. What looked complicated at first quickly became one of the most enjoyable parts of the season, who else loves going through a process and ticking boxes ✅

After plenty of testing, these are the setups I’ve been loving most:

🌳 Trail
• Front: Romy, 2.5, Radial, Trail, Soft
• Rear: Romy, 2.5, Radial, Trail, Soft

🏔️ Enduro
• Front: Albert ,2.5, Radial, Trail, Ultra Soft
• Rear: Albert, 2.5, Diagonal, Gravity, Soft

🚀 Downhill
• Front: Magic Mary, 2.5, Radial, Gravity, Ultra Soft
• Rear: Tacky Chan 2.4, Diagonal, Gravity, Ultra Soft

“Alone Between Two Cities” is live!

A short film from a solo ride across South Korea, almost 600km from Seoul to Busan in one continuous push.

There’s something about crossing a place under your own power that changes the way you remember it. The distance stops being a number, and becomes a collection of small moments, rivers at first light, quiet towns, fluorescent convenience stores, the hum of tyres in the dark, and the strange calm that arrives from repetitiveness.

What started as an FKT-style attempt became a ride about solitude, movement, and the way a country reveals itself when you expose yourself enough to notice.

I rode almost 600km across South Korea in one continuous push, solo and self-supported from Seoul to Busan.

No support crew, no follow car and no one waiting at the finish.

What started as an FKT-style attempt slowly became something much more personal. I think that’s why I keep coming back to these kinds of projects. When you do something alone, there’s nowhere to hide. Every decision is yours, every mistake is yours, every moment of doubt is yours to figure out. There’s something awfully honest within that.

“Alone Between Two Cities” premieres this Friday on my YouTube - Link in bio

Peacing out from another summer at home that went way too quick, there were plenty of bikes, mountains and time spent chasing animals. A roller coaster of up’s and downs but I put a big focus on building out my foundation, heading into my most stacked season yet i’m feeling good about the process made. Can’t wait to get stuck into it!
