This week, Randy is taking the Trails 101 group from the shop onto the trails for a 60-70 min shakeout with a focus on some more climbing and descending.

9am at the shop, show up a few minutes early if you need to sign a waiver or borrow a pair of demo trail shoes. 👟

Speedy Social with Yunfei - 8am from the shop
Social with Solana - 8am end of Tantalus

​All 3 pace groups are back this week and everyone was craving some Grinch Toes action, so Speedy & Speedy Social are heading there from the shop, leaving at 8am, whereas, the Social group is starting from the end of Tantalus to cut off some distance and be able to intersect with the other groups.

All groups are aiming for 2:15 outings.

The seasons are shifting, and the alpine is reminding us who’s in charge. ❄️

A frozen pond is a good reminder that conditions can change quickly this time of year. What starts as a fall objective can feel a lot more like winter once you gain elevation.

Be thoughtful with your planning, check the forecast and current conditions, and pack for what you might encounter; not just what you hope for. Extra layers, the right equipment, and a solid backup plan can make all the difference.

The mountains aren’t going anywhere. Be prepared, stay adaptable, and make good decisions out there. 🏔️
