THIS THURSDAY Jake Scharfman and Stephen Allen will be teaching a workshop on steep bouldering techniques from 6-8PM.

Hey friends, I have some awesome news!
The Kermode cave is excited to announce that there is now a training-for-climbing group.

This group is for intermediate-advanced climbers who cannot adequately train in the kermode cave due to the business and limited open-hours. Members of this group will be able to climb in the cave outside of the regular cave open hours, so long as they meet the following criteria:

• Experience bouldering and climbing at an advanced level.
• Provides proof of climbing and/or competing at an advanced level (e.g., resume of routes completed and or/
list of current competition schedule).
• Provides current list of climbing goals and S.M.A.R.T. action steps to achieve them.
• Demonstrates proficiency and competency to boulder unmonitored in the Cave through the successful
observation checklist performed by the Cave Manager / Recreation Manager.

Who wants to set some routes in the Kermode Cave this year?

The Kermode Cave is currently looking for some volunteers to make re-setting a reality in the near future!

Route-setting is an awesome way to improve technical climibng skills and it's a ton of fun. No setting experience is required, however, having 2+ years of bouldering experience (indoor or outdoor) is preferred.

It's the second day, of the second week, of our second block. This kind of numerical synchrony only happens thrice a semester.

The Kermode cave will be open from 6-10pm tonight. In addition to the usual rock climbing, we will be having a heated debate about the future of the Ursidae family (aka bears) and the cultural significance of science fiction films.

There may or may not be an award for the best Dwight impersonation/ costume.
