Thank you for making the 16/17 winter season such a successful one for KNWN. The showroom is now closed for the season as we transition to summer production. KNWN is a boutique manufacturer of high-end skis and snowboards handcrafted in the Coastal Mountains of British Columbia, Canada. It is essential for us to protect our mountains and snow for future generations, so KNWN does everything in its

power to minimize the effects on the planet. We source our raw materials locally if possible, our wood cores come from sustainably sourced timber in Eastern Canada and we don’t use printing or lacquering processes that will harm our staff or produce toxic fumes. As a matter of fact, our printing process is 100% water-soluble. Combine that with our bio resin system and our zero waste PUR sidewall process and we are confident to say that we’re doing everything in our power to run an environmentally responsible production process.

Once a year I get to build myself a custom. Today the process began. Custom art, custom shape, custom camberline, custom core profile, custom layup…and don’t forget the extra custom base finishing process. Take a normal finishing process and add 2-3 hours to it…grinding, heating, waxing, heating, polishing, cooling and repeat…see you on the flats!
