If you've been in the shop over the last few weeks, you've probably heard me ramble on and on about how much fun we've been having chasing BC spot prawns here in Howe Sound. 🦐

It takes the right gear, a little patience, plenty of sweat equity, and some local knowledge—but when you pull up a pot full of these beauties, it makes it all worth it.

Got a great update from our good friend Steve Horvath up at King Pacific Lodge! 🎣

Steve has been absolutely crushing it this season, and the fishing on Milbanke Sound has been nothing short of incredible. Although... I have a feeling he only sent me this beauty of a Tyee to remind me he catches bigger fish than I do.

We're stoked you're having an awesome summer, Steve. Keep the photos coming, and we can't wait to have you back in the shop.

Instagram vs. Reality.... bringing catch & release a whole new meaning. 🎣

☀️ The summer is heating up and so is the local salmon fishing here in the Howe sound!

Lots of big Chinooks being caught and we're starting to see some Coho salmon making their way up the Sound. Currently, Chinook salmon are a part of a catch and release recreational fishery where all of these fish are returned back into the water, but Coho salmon are open for retention, so were stoked to see them start showing up in our home waters.

Come by the shop to chat about the gear you need on the boat and some tips and tricks for this summer's salmon fishing!

Fathers Day is just around the corner and I promise he doesn't want another tie!

Come by the shop and get Dad the gift he really wants. New hats and tees, hoodies and long-sleeves, a new rod or reel, or maybe some new gear to fill out the tackle box.

We even have gift cards for those Dad's that are too picky with their fishing gear to ever let someone else buy it for them.

Dad deserves the good stuff. Treat him right.

☀️ June is here and that means that our good friend is headed back up to for another season guiding on the Milbanke Sound.

Steve has been a huge help here at the shop for the last few seasons and we cant wait to have him back around in the fall.

If you see Steve before hes gone, make sure to wish him look luck and tight lines up at the lodge! 🎣
