This year I travelled to the Yukon for the Yukon First Nation Hockey Association annual tournament! I was commissioned to make a medallion… for the President! I was honored. When she received it… she was so happy she had tears in her eyes, so did I! I was thankful.

I took the time this year to fly to Whitehorse Yukon, and help scorekeep/timekeep for the annual Yukon Native Hockey Association’s Kilrich First Nation Hockey Tournament. Its the 44th year. I worked 20 games. There were 56 teams and and 96 games over 7 divisons! What an experience!

I was born in Hay River NWT… and right now the fires have been raging and the people who live there have been evacuated. Enterprise is gone. Yellowknife is under evacuation. I have been through a flood… and that was tough. Nothing like what is happening in the NWT. Our prayers are with those affected. I also want to recognize West Kelowna. Lytton again. There is fire in many places. I will pray for good things. I will pry for rain.

Ohhh Canada is sponsoring two First Nation hockey players to fly to Whitehorse where they will compete in the Kilrich Yukon Native Hockey Tournament… March 22-26. Mike Billy Jr of North Vancouver, and Nolan Rudkowsky from Squamish BC. They have been invited by Kimberley S Marion who Manages the Tahltan Selects hockey. Mike and Nolan will play in the Men’s C Division, good luck and have fun!! This will be the second time they have played for the Tahltan Selects.
