Our Mission

EMSA Spruce Grove (also known as Spruce Grove Soccer Association or SGSA) will try to provide a soccer program allowing each participant to play at his/her appropriate level for every age, skill level, and competition level available. SGSA will provide players and coaches with the appropriate tools, guidance and support necessary to develop technical and personal skills to their full

potential. SGSA will foster and nourish the growth and enjoyment of the game of soccer year-round, emphasizing to our players, coaches, managers, referees, parents and spectators both the attitude and conduct of sportsmanship through training and team work. SGSA will promote these disciplines, thereby developing respect for teammates, coaches, opponents, game officials, and the community. Our goal is to be one of the top soccer programs within Alberta. We will achieve this through the care and dedication of our coaches, volunteers, parents and players.

The outdoor season celebration is happening this Saturday, June 20, and we need a crew of Event Facilitators to help us run the show! If you’re a player aged 12+ who wants to step up, take on a leadership role, and get paid for your time, we need you on the pitch this weekend.

While our massive Moon Day tournament is coming up in July, our immediate focus is crushing our goals for Saints Fest right now.

THE MISSION THIS WEEKEND (June 20):
Help us bring the energy to the outdoor season celebration! We need people to help with quick field prep, keep things running smoothly, and drive game-day festival operations.

Due to field conditions, all sessions scheduled on natural grass fields are cancelled today, including:

❌ U9 and U11 Girls' In-House Programs
❌ Team practices on natural grass fields

Sessions scheduled at Fuhr Sports Park will proceed as planned, including:

✅ U7 Mini Program
✅ Team practices at Fuhr (unless otherwise communicated by your coach through TeamSnap)

Our summer events are set to shatter records, and we're anticipating bigger crowds than ever before! To make these events successful, we need an incredible team of volunteers behind the scenes.
We have two ways to get involved:
Volunteer Opportunities
These positions allow you to fulfill your seasonal volunteer commitment. If you are completing your volunteer commitment, you only need to sign up for and complete one shift.
Tournament & Event Crew Opportunities
Want to become more involved with the club or earn extra money? Apply to join our Tournament & Event Crew! This program works alongside our traditional volunteer program and provides leadership and support at our events. It's also a great opportunity for senior players looking to gain experience and earn honorariums. An application is required for these positions.
Fulfill Your Seasonal Volunteer Commitment
If you need to complete your mandatory volunteer hours to receive reimbursement of your volunteer deposit, these standard volunteer shifts are the backbone of our club's event operations.

🥈 Congratulations to our U15 Boyde team on bringing home SILVER at the Calgary Victoria Cup this past Victoria Day long weekend! ⚽️💚

The boys battled hard all tournament long, showed incredible teamwork, resilience, and determination, and represented SGSA with pride both on and off the field.

We’re so proud of this group and everything they accomplished this weekend. A huge thank you as well to the coaches, families, and supporters who helped make it all possible! 👏
